Federal Pell Grants: These are federal entitlements available to any qualified, needy undergraduate student who is attending college at least half-time and who has not previously earned a Bachelor's degree. Less than half-time students may be eligible provided they demonstrate exceptional financial need.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG): These are grants available to undergraduate students with exceptional financial need who are attending school at least half-time.

Hawaii Student Incentive Grants (HSIG): These are tuition grants available to needy undergraduate students attending school at least half-time. To qualify for a Hawaii Student Incentive Grant, a student must be eligible for a Pell Grant and be a resident of Hawaii for tuition pruposes. Availability subject to federal and state funding.

Tuition Waivers and other Tuition Grants: A limited number of tuition waivers and tuition grants are available to students in graduate and professional programs. Students should contact their academic department of professional school for more information.

Graduate Assistantships: A number of graduate assistantships are available to qualified students capable of performing teaching, technical or research functions. Interested students should contact the chairman of the appropriate academic department.

Fellowships: The Fellowship Office of the Graduate Division maintains general information on fellowships administered by outside foundations and agencies which are open to graduate students. Other awards are made available to students through academic departments or professional schools. Interested graduate students are urged to contact their department or professional school for information on available opportunities.

Other Endowed or Privately Sponsored Scholarships: Campus financial aid office may administer other privately funded aid programs. See listings below or the individual campus catalogs for a listing of these programs where they exist.

OHA Educational Scholarship
Must be of Hawaiian ancestry; enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited two or four-year degree program or vocational program in an accredited institution; demonstrate academic potential and progress; and verify that applicant is not a previous recipient of any post-high financial aid program administered by KSBE. To be eligible for these funds, complete the Kamehameha Schools Post High Financial Aid application. Mark OHA in red on the top right hand corner, and mail to:

Native Hawaiian Higher Education Program

Applicants must be of Hawaiian ancestry; be enrolled in an accredited associate, bachelor or graduate degree program; support the survival of the Hawaiian language through education; be prepared to work in the community in the semester of the receipt of the award, using the Hawaiian language; and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better or demonstrate financial need.

Students in receipt of this scholarship are required to study Hawaiian language. Applicants must apply annually.
